“Where Attention goes Energy flows” - James Redfield, The Celestine Prophecy

Something to note about the island is it is highly protected. Only residents have the licence to drive, thus making the only way to get around is either by foot or bike. Where I stay in Pedro Barbra, there are no restaurants or grocery stores, just unspoiled nature, calm and quiet!

After waking up to the sound of seagulls and the wind blowing (this really happened, I know!), I started the day with my morning coffee.

I then found a flat space to do some morning yoga. I wouldn’t say I’m a beginner, but the practice of yoga as a more than a physical practice but also a spiritual one is new, so I thought it would incorporate it into my daily routine while staying here.

After my practice, I walked down to the beach to enjoy the calm and quiet. After a couple hours of laying on the beach, I decided to go for a walk to explore the island. I walked towards Caleto de Sebo by taking the coastal path, with a mixture of rocky terrain, dessert, and sandy beach.

I passed the coves of Los Conejos, a rocky cliff side path, before reaching El Barranco de Los Conejos, a small and lonely beach cove.

There was no one here, I imagine because the only way to get here would be on foot! Definetly off the beaten path.

I then passed Playa de Los Conejos, another deserted beach surrounded by desert and mountains.

Although I've never been, I imagine the landscape here resembles some parts of Africa. I found out that the Canary Islands are geographically part of the African continent and officially part of the EU, making the vibe and atmosphere more similar to that of Africa.

The wind started to pick up so I headed home. The journey took me about 2 and a half hours in total, and I think I passed only three other walkers during the whole walk!

For dinner, I made some shrimp fried rice. Warm, fresh and delicious!

I ended the night with some chamomile tea before falling asleep.
